🎄 Bleu Buzz Blog: Sariah’s 1st Christmas in Dallas with Family! 🎁
Hey Bleu Bells! 💙
Can we just talk about how magical this Christmas was? ✨ Sariah’s very first Christmas, and we made it an adventure by taking a ROAD TRIP to Dallas with family! 🚗
💨 Let me tell you, this little firecracker did AMAZING, even though she was battling a cold. 😷 Our resilient baby girl powered through and, of course, managed to get both her dad and me sick in the process. 😂 Parenting really tests your immune system, doesn’t it?
Despite the sniffles and chaos, this Christmas filled my heart in ways I didn’t think possible. 💖 Watching Sariah experience her first Christmas surrounded by family, culture, and love was everything. Seeing her with her grandparents—my mom and dad—was a gift I’ll treasure forever. 🥹 Seeing my dad holding her in his hands, and the way my mom’s eyes light up when Sariah giggles, just makes me so full of gratitude.
Family First, Always 💕
Coming from a Jamaican family, the holidays have always been about love, culture, and togetherness—not the gifts. 🎄🇯🇲 This year, having Sariah in the mix made it even more special. She was surrounded by her roots, learning (well, observing for now!) about where she comes from and being enveloped in all the love from her grandparents, great-aunt Desrine, uncle Benny, and the whole family.
It hit me how much of a blessing it is to watch your family grow into new roles. Seeing my parents become grandparents for the first time? It’s pure joy. 🥰 And let’s not forget Calvin stepping up to become the best dad to our little girl. My heart is full, y’all.
Christmas, the Bleu Way 🎁💙
For me, the holidays aren’t about the material things—it’s about moments like these. Sitting around with family, laughing, talking about the past, and imagining Sariah’s future. 🎅🏽 The best gift of all is the gift of presence—being with my loved ones and watching Sariah grow surrounded by love.
So, while gifts are great (and yes, we had some adorable ones for Sariah!), nothing beats the joy of family. This is what the holidays are all about for me—Sariah, family, and creating memories that will last a lifetime.
