Tuesday Truth – Motherhood Isn’t Always Fun

Alright, let’s get real for a second. My Tuesday Truth this week is tough to admit, but it’s my truth—and if we can’t be honest here, where can we be? Motherhood isn’t always fun. Yup, I said it. I waited 37 years for my beautiful Sariah, and trust me when I say she is the absolute light of my life. Her smile melts my heart every single time. But y’all… I miss my old life sometimes.

Can I be honest without judgment? There are nights when I’m not getting any sleep, and I think back to the days when I could nap whenever I wanted or go out without planning every detail. Now? Diapers, feedings, and trying to function on what feels like 10 minutes of sleep.

Listen, I LOVE being a mom—I love it. But it’s work. It’s beautiful, messy, exhausting, soul-filling work. And some days, it feels overwhelming. That doesn’t make me a bad mom. It makes me human.

So here’s my reminder for all the moms out there: You can feel all the feels. You can love your baby wholeheartedly and still miss who you were before. This journey is about embracing it all—the highs, the lows, the wins, and the struggles.

I never said it was easy, just necessary.
