It’s your girl, Shaybleu, coming at you with a fresh slice of real talk. Recently, a heart-to-heart with a close friend led me down a path of introspection that I can’t help but share. You see, we stumbled upon this concept of dating the 'safe guy'.

Now, I’m not talking about a knight in shining armor, but the guy who walks the straight and narrow, never daring to veer off course.

As we sipped on our drinks, we dove deep into this topic. Why is it that so many of us veer away from Mr. Safe? What is it about the edgy, daring counterpart that pulls at our heartstrings?

Predictability vs. Spontaneity:
The 'safe guy' is like that comfy old sweater, warm and reliable. But often, our souls crave the thrill of unpredictability, the kind that keeps you on your toes, makes your heart race a little.

The Boring Blues:
The conversation flowed and so did our confessions. The 'safe guy' rarely challenges the status quo. He’s content with the everyday routine, but oh, how we yearned for a spark of disagreement, a hearty debate or a wild, unplanned weekend getaway.

The Passion Paradox:
We talked about how we craved someone with fire in their belly, someone who’s as passionate about their dreams as we are about ours. Someone who’s not just riding the waves but creating them.

The Comfort Conundrum:
Are we comfortable with the 'safe guy' just because it’s easier? Because the path is clear, and there’s no fear of stumbling? Are we settling?

We also touched on the ongoing tug-of-war between men and women and how this long-standing battle of the sexes might feed into our dating choices. Are we subconsciously aligning ourselves with the rebels because we’re tired of the age-old narratives?

Our laughter filled the room as we realized that sometimes, in seeking comfort, we might be snuffing out the very spark we desire. The 'safe guy' isn’t the villain in our story, but perhaps, just perhaps, he’s not the hero either.
