it’s finally here!!! Balancing Pregnancy, Life, and the New Journey Ahead
Hey Bleu Bells,
I’ve meant to catch you all up on life, but wow—where do I start?! Let me say the past month has been a whirlwind. Between back-to-back baby showers, hospital visits, moving into a new place, finding new furniture, and battling these exhausting pregnancy symptoms, I’ve barely had a moment to breathe. I am so impressed with the women who do this every day. I am sitting completing a task from my 8 to 5 job until 11:00 p.m., wondering how I do it. I put so many hours into my 8 to 5 that I’ve neglected my blog and constantly feel like shit. So it’s 11:02 pm, and I am finishing my blog tonight!
I will be honest for a minute this shit is not for the weak!
I’m officially taking a much-needed breather! For real, you all, I have never been this tired. I feel like I’ve been running a marathon that never ends – but this marathon is full of swollen ankles, endless spitting, and picky cravings thanks to my little girl, Sariah. This pregnancy journey has me realizing that she may be the pickiest girl I’ve ever met – nothing I eat is good enough for her! 😂 But hey, it’s her world, and I’m living in it.
But despite the ups and downs, the love and support I’ve been receiving from everyone around me – from my work family, Maclin family, Mahario family and Calvin’s family and beyond – has been overwhelming. The two baby showers were filled with joy and excitement; honestly, none of it would have happened without all of you. The gifts are still rolling in, and I’m just floored by how much love Sariah is already surrounded by. 💙

But let me tell you… this fatigue is NO joke! And my ankles, you all. They are swollen to the max. 😱 I’m freaking out! And the cherry on top? According to my doctor, I’m officially carrying a 5 lb 9 oz baby, and I’ve gained over 40 pounds! I can’t believe it – I have never been this big! So yeah, I’m just trying to push through these last three weeks, but let me tell you, it feels like 300 years. 😂
I’m exhausted trying to keep up with my old self, but I’ve come to accept that the 8-month pregnant me cannot keep up with the 5-month pregnant me – and that’s okay! But my OCD isn’t making it any easier, especially regarding cleaning. I can’t help it; I want everything to be spotless, and the struggle is real. To top it off, I’m itching like crazy after 4 PM every day like a madwoman. So, right now, I’m just doing my best to stay afloat and prepare for Sariah’s arrival, which is coming up so soon! More like September 3rd to be exact!
I’ll share all the second baby shower pictures, updates from my doctors’ visits, and the latest on this wild pregnancy ride as I transition into motherhood. It’s all happening, you all.
Thanks for being on this journey with me—the best is yet to come. Thank to all attended the baby shower! I truly appreciate all the love and gifts. It truly takes a village to raise a baby. I could not do this without everyone who supports me in my life. The love is overwhelming and I am honored to have each and every one of you in Sariah’s life. She is truly lucky.
